Exmoor is the smallest and one of the prettiest of Britain’s national parks, about 265 square miles in area. Visit the moor and enjoy this quiet and unspoilt corner of Somerset and North Devon. It is an area of contrasts with deep valleys and combes, high heather moorland and ancient oak woodland. If you are looking for an area of great natural beauty with wonderful walking, riding, fishing and hunting, then Exmoor is for you!
Whilst staying here hopefully you may glimpse some Red Deer roaming wild on the hills, or Buzzards soaring in the sky. Certainly you will see the typical small-horned sheep and the famous Exmoor Ponies.
Where Exmoor meets the sea is stunningly beautiful, with the highest sea cliffs in England, and the amazingly rugged coastline from Minehead through Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth to Combe Martin. All feature on the superb South West Way coastal path.
